Françoise is a data science technical lead at Shopify, an e-commerce SaaS company based in Canada. She is also leading the Montreal chapter of PyLadies. Her focus is to understand deeply merchants and their relationship with the Shopify platform with a team of mixed-method researchers. They achieve this using qualitative research, fancy algorithms and good old common sense. Before joining Shopify, she did a PhD in experimental physics and a post-doctoral fellowship in machine learning.
