Bidding will take place from May 8th through May 15th. The auction website provides a preview of all the items ready for bidding as well as items that will be 'live auctioned' during the events. Click the link below to view the items or log in to bid.
Note: A PyLadies Auction ticket registration is required to log in and place bids. If you need to add a ticket to your registration head over to your dashboard.
We are proud to announce that the auction will be held virtually. We sure missed hosting the event and seeing everyone in 2020. The plan is to provide a fun and entertaining event to support the PyLadies community in a virtual way. A kickoff event will be held to explain the process and introduce the items, followed by a period of time to submit your bids for items you are interested in. The finale event will be held virtually to share auction winners and to recap the event. A small donation ($5 USD) is required in order to cover the cost of producing the event and to help support the efforts of PyLadies.
We hope you all plan to participate and bid on the auction items!
If you have an item to donate please fill out this form. The deadline to let us know of your donation is April 30, 2021.
Sponsors will have the opportunity to donate auction items for the event. We are also asking sponsors to handle shipping of the item to the highest bidder. If you have any questions about the auction or are interested in participating, please contact our Auction Coordinators, Jackie Kazil, Lynn Root, and Douglas Napoleone.
Please note that donations of guns, alcohol, cars, or houses will not be accepted.
Contributing sponsors will be highlighted in the marketing of the event and also during the event. Proceeds will go to PyLadies. PyLadies is an international mentorship group with a focus on helping more women become active participants and leaders in the Python open-source community. Their mission is to promote, educate and advance a diverse Python community through outreach, education, conferences, events, and social gatherings.
Individual donations will also be accepted. Please keep in mind that items will be shipped by the donator.
You can take a look at the amazing auction items on the virtual auction platform, http://pyladies.cbo.io/. If you want to join in and bid on any of these items and are not registered you can add the PyLadies Auction event from your dashboard.
A huge thank you to all the sponsors and community members who donated items this year.
PyLadies also aims to provide a friendly support network for women and a bridge to the larger Python world. Anyone with an interest in Python is encouraged to participate! Check out local meetups here: http://www.pyladies.com/locations/.
