Maria has taught computer science and mathematics at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, since 1987. Her latest book (with Gary Litvin) is Mathematics for the Digital Age and Programming in Python (Skylight Publishing, 2008), now in its second edition (2010). Maria is also a co-author (with Gary Litvin) of Java Methods A & AB: Object-Oriented Programming and Data Structures, the textbook used for AP CS courses in hundreds of schools, as well as Be Prepared for the AP Computer Science Exam in Java and C++ for You++. Maria is an AP Computer Science exam reader and provides AP training for high school computer science teachers. Last summer Maria taught Python at the Google CAPE program in Boston and a Python workshop for Boston area teachers.
