Tutorial Class Notes Information
If you have been selected to present a class at PyCon you are expected to provide class notes to your students. They are paying $150.00 to attend and you are getting paid to present. Class notes are one of the reasons you get paid. The following guidelines apply:
- PyCon will print your notes at no cost to you if you get them to us before the deadline of March 1, 2011. Your notes will find their way to your classroom before you do.
- Submit notes in PDF format.
- Page must be 8-1/2 x 11 inches. No legal or A4, please.
- The notes will be printed out in black and white (gray scale) only. No color unless you make arrangements in advance. It is very expensive to print in color.
- If you have a 1 or 2 page "cheat sheet" type handout we may agree to print those in color and/or on card-stock.
- Any work or excerpts that have a copyright may not be included in the notes without written consent of the copyright holder. We have not enforced this in the past but our printer is quite adamant that this must be the policy (and, it's the right thing to do, anyhow).
- Please keep the notes under 50 pages. If you simply must go over, let us know and we'll OK it.
- The notes will be printed 2-sided.
- If you are making copies of your slides and do not include and extra material, please print 2 slides to a page.
