Dag Sverre has been on the Cython developer team since 2008. He developed the integration of Cython and NumPy as a Google Summer of Code (GSoC) student during summer 2008, and was a GSoC mentor on Cython projects in 2009 and 2011. He is currently a Ph. D. student in Astrophysics (Computational Cosmology) at the University of Oslo, and holds a M. Sc. in Computational Science from the same university.
