Getting Around Santa Clara
For those driving, the Santa Clara Convention Center (and the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara) is conveniently located between two freeways (highway 101 and 237) with easy access. Whether you choose to go to San Francisco for a day or explore other things to do in the area, highway 101 can get you there directly or to another freeway that can.
The VTA Light Rail station is located immediately across the street from the Santa Clara Convention Center. This mode of transportation will take you to several eateries and other attraction at neighboring cities including downtown San Jose, Milpitas, Campbell, and Mountain View. The current fare for an 8-hour Light Rail pass is $4 and a single ride is $2. However, a single ride light rail ticket is valid for up to 2 hours in any direction only on Light Rail and Historic Trolley service. It is not acceptable toward the fare on bus service. More information can be found at: www.vta.org.
For those preferring Taxi cabs, cabs are usually stationed outside many of the hotel properties. Ask hotel concierge/front desk if cab is not present or if prefer limo/sedan transportation.
