Description

To a lot of people, the Python Software Foundation is a black box. After years of being on the outside of the box, a few years on the inside have given a good look at what this foundation is and why it matters. Come see what the PSF is about, what it's doing, and what you can do to help.

Abstract

This talk aims to give a look into the Python Software Foundation by covering what the PSF is and what it does. Attendees will hopefully leave with a better insight into the ideas, goals, initiatives, and activities behind the foundation.

The talk also aims to engage you, the community, in thinking about what it takes to further Python. Whether it's an idea of code, community, or otherwise, hopefully this talk can jumpstart some plans for the next year of action in the Python world.
