Bruce Eckel

Bruce Eckel is a consultant and trainer and the author of multiple books including Thinking in C++ and Thinking in Java. He was a founding member and spent 8 years on the C++ Standards Committee. He's given hundreds of seminars and presentations throughout the world. He has been using Python for over 15 years and has made several (so far failed) attempts to produce a community-supported Python book. He is currently trying to finish an introductory book on the Scala language with his coauthor Dianne Marsh.
