Peter Wang

Peter is the co-founder and president of Continuum Analytics, a company focused on Python for data analytics, visualization, and "big data". He is actively working on new Python tools for large-scale data processing, high performance computing, and statistical data visualization.

Prior to founding Continuum Analytics, Peter was Director of Technical Architecture at Enthought, where he wrote Chaco, an interactive plotting toolkit, and was a core developer on the Enthought Tool Suite.

Peter has been active in the Scipy community for many years, and has given a number of presentations and tutorials on visualization at the Scipy and PyCon conferences. He actively works on growing the PyData community, and organized the PyData Workshop in March 2012. He organized the first PyData Conference, in NYC in October 2012, and is currently organizing the Silicon Valley edition of the conference, which takes place in March 2013.
