Raymond Hettinger

Python core developer, teacher, and consultant.

Raymond has been a Python core developer for over a decade and has designed or implemented many of the tools you use everyday: sets/frozensets, sorted, any/all, enumerate, reversed, the collections module, the itertools module, generator expressions, the LRU cache, Python's peephole optimizer, etc.

He has authored substantial parts of the core documentation, written a number of PEPs, and was a PSF board member for several years.

Currently working as a Python teacher and consultant, Raymond's background also includes using Python for finance, genomics, high-frequency trading, and cloud computing.

Raymond actively promotes Python world-wide (including India, Lithuania, China, Australia, Italy, the UK, and Australia).
