Hi, I’m Hynek. If you’ve read something Python-related from a Hynek, chances are that has been me.

I’m a Czech living in Berlin, Germany and work as a software and infrastructure engineer at Variomedia AG, a web hosting company and domain registrar. Currently I’m redoing most of the company’s infrastructure using Python. Maybe I’m even the CTO or something, we don’t really care about titles.

In my free time I work on some open source projects but most of my hacking time goes into CPython (yep, that thing that appears when you type “python”), which I’m an active committer of.

I really like red wine.
