Brett Cannon

Brett has been a core contributor to the Python language and a member of the Python Software Foundation for nearly a decade. He is an author to some degree of 13 Python Enhancement Proposals and is the 15th most prolific committer in the history of the project (according to Ohloh). His latest accomplishment is the making the importlib package (which he authored) the implementation of import in Python 3.3.

Brett currently works for Google out of their Waterloo, Canada office. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of British Columbia. He also recently became a cat person thanks to his wife, Andrea.
