Christie Koehler

Christie is an experienced software engineer, technical project manager, community organizer and speaker (LinkedIn). She works at Mozilla (makers of Firefox) as a project manager on the Developer Evangelist team.

Christie is also very involved in developing low-cost, accessible technology education within her local community. She is co-chair of the annual Open Source Bridge conference and co-founder and a director of the non-profit Stumptown Syndicate. In addition to her event and non-profit management activities, Christie also facilitates two monthly user groups for women in technology: Code 'n' Splode and Women Who Hack.

In 2012, Christie was recognized with an O’Reilly Open Source Award.

Christie lives in Portland, Oregon with her wife, four cats and a dog. Her non-tech activities include writing, Hatha Yoga, cycling, hiking, folding origami and cooking delicious vegan food.
