PyCon Dinners
New for PyCon 2016: The dinners are not concurrent so you can attend both! Join us Monday May 30th and/or Wednesday June 1st at 6pm after talks for great food, great company, and great speakers!
If you are new to PyCon, this is a great opportunity to make new friends early on in the conference. Both dinners have an audience participation aspect designed to get people talking — which we hope will be especially valuable to first-timers at PyCon, which was 60% of attendees last year based on the post-conference survey!
If PyCon is already an annual event for you, then you know that the conference continues with great conversations long after the talks end for the day — so pull up a chair!
Monday, May 30, 2016 — McMenamins Crystal Ballroom
- Cost: $35 per person
- Location: McMenamins Crystal Ballroom, 1332 W. Burnside, Portland OR 97209
- Time: 6:30 – 10:30 PM
- Speaker: Brandon Rhodes, running three rounds of Python Trivia
- Punk band: The Adventure Capitalists!
- Menu: Buffet Style
- Dinner: Pepper-Crusted Round of Beef and Wild Mushroom & Spinach Cannelloni
- Sides: Garlic Green Beans and Nutty Wild Rice Pilaf, dinner rolls, fruit tray, vegetable platter, mixed green salad
- Beverages: Citrus punch bowl, McMenamins own freshly brewed coffee & decaf, black & herbal teas
- Dessert Tray
- One drink ticket will be included and a cash bar will be available
- Vegan entree is available upon request
Wednesday, June 1, 2016 - Portland Art Museum
- Cost: $45 per person
- Location: Portland Art Museum, the Mark Building at 1119 SW Park Ave , Portland, OR 97205 - - Fields Sunken Ballroom
- Time: 6:30 – 9:30 PM
- Speaker: Adrienne Lowe
- Includes access to two floors of the Portland Art Museum Gallery next door to the ballroom!
- Menu: Buffet Style (legend: VE = vegetarian, WF = wheat free, VG = vegan, DF = dairy free)
- Hors d’Oeuvres: Mini Latkes & Lox, (DF/WF) Pineapple Rumaki, (VE/WF) Polenta, Lemon, Pine Nut & Honey Canape
- Dinner Buffet: (DF) Braised BBQ Beef with Cherry Cola Glaze, (DF/WF) Chicken, Peperonata, WF/VG) Rainbow Quinoa Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms
