PyCon 2019 in Cleveland, Ohio

Jessica Jahnke

I am physics teacher in Connecticut teaching a diverse set of students. Over the past two summers I have taught at the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program, a seven week summer program targeted in helping close the gender gap in computer science fields. In addition to this program, I have been involved as various clubs targeted at helping girls in computer science. I majored in Chemical Engineering, and I know what it is like to be a lone female coding. I knew when I graduated I wanted to do my part to help close the gender gap.
