Erin Allard recently joined Heroku as a Platform Support Engineer. A career changer herself, she's passionate about introducing people to the power of programming and has taught software engineering courses for LinkedIn Learning, Girls Who Code and Techtonica. She's also the founder of Empowered Engineers, providing soft skills coaching and technical training to help early-career software engineers land new roles and rock they ones they have. For non-programming fun she enjoys hiking the hills of her native California with her wife, reading biographies and sewing quilts—sometimes all in the same day!
