Aron Ahmadia is a Director in Capital One Card's Machine Learning team, where he leads development of machine learning capabilities to help Capital One serve its customers better. Aron has a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University and over a decade of experience building data and modeling solutions for applications such as coral reef monitoring, financial services, law enforcement, levee and storm surge modeling, real-time control systems, and semiconductor lithography. A bit of a performance freak, Aron has run scientific experiments in Python on supercomputers with more than 60,000 cores and used Python to generate highly-tuned assembly code.
