Karen Rustad
Karen Rustad is a UX designer and web developer based in Mountain View, CA. Karen took up web programming in 2009 by teaching herself Python and, soon after, Django. In 2012, she completed a master’s degree at UC Berkeley’s School of Information which combined computer science, design, management, and library science. After graduation, Karen did front- and back-end web dev for Disqus and UX work for clients such as Least Authority and Zeromailer. She also contributes to free software, most extensively to open source outreach nonprofit OpenHatch where she serves on the board and volunteers as lead designer.
