Marina Zhurakhinskaya
Marina Zhurakhinskaya works on community outreach and engagement at Red Hat and serves on the boards of the GNOME Foundation and the Ada Initiative. She organizes the GNOME Foundation’s Outreach Program for Women. About 130 women have so far participated in the program's remote internships with 23 FOSS organizations. GNOME, the Twisted Project, MediaGoblin, OpenStack, and the Yocto Project are some of the organizations that participated in the program that use Python. Prior to her community engagement role, Marina developed software for the GNOME desktop. She is an MIT graduate with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science.
